Dr Bosco Kalule

Dr Bosco Kalule is an Early Career Researcher, appointed as a Lecturer of Microbiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine, Makerere University. He holds a PhD in Medical Microbiology (University of Cape Town) and has recently been awarded an Early Career Research Leader Fellowship, Carnegie Corporation of New York, and a six-month Fulbright African research scholar grant at Columbia University, NY. Bosco was awarded an SFC-GCRF grant to train in the development and use of paper diagnostics in the detection of veterinary infectious diseases, spending a month in Glasgow learning engineering production methods. He brings knowledge as a veterinary microbiologist and practicing veterinarian to assist in the collection and testing for Coxiella sp., Leptospira sp. and Brucella sp. in animals and samples sourced from animals.
